EDSS works with a range of suppliers, contractors and partner organisations to help deliver support following emergencies.
Before working with an organisation, we seek reasonable assurance that it operates lawfully, ethically and in a manner consistent with our values.
We expect our suppliers, contractors and partner organisations to:
- Comply with all applicable employment legislation.
- Treat workers fairly and with respect.
- Take appropriate steps to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking.
- Operate safe and ethical working practices.
- Notify EDSS of any significant concerns relating to modern slavery or labour exploitation.
Our People
EDSS is committed to creating an environment in which trustees, employees and volunteers feel confident raising concerns.
Anyone working for or on behalf of EDSS who becomes aware of, or suspects, modern slavery, forced labour or exploitation is encouraged to report their concerns immediately.
All concerns will be treated seriously and, where appropriate, investigated in accordance with EDSS policies and procedures.
Continuous Improvement
EDSS will continue to review its governance, procurement and due diligence processes to help identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery within our operations and supply chain.
This statement will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate to the size and nature of our organisation.
